Admission Requirements
Applicants to the Registered Nurse (RN) program are generally expected to:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Meet minimum GPA requirements as defined by the institution
- Complete any required placement tests or prerequisite courses (such as Biology, Chemistry, or Anatomy & Physiology)
- Submit a completed application and any supporting documentation (transcripts, identification, etc.)
- Participate in an admissions interview, if required
- Provide proof of immunizations and meet health and background check requirements before beginning clinical experiences
Clinical Experience
Clinical education is a vital component of the RN program. Students will:
- Complete supervised clinical rotations in a variety of settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community health agencies
- Practice essential nursing skills including assessments, medication administration, documentation, and patient education
- Work under the guidance of licensed nurses and clinical instructors to develop confidence and competence in direct patient care
